Sherry Skogrand
President
Sherry was born and raised in Minnesota and retired permanently to SCW in 2007. Deer Valley has been her home course ever since. She became active in 2008 as Handicap Chairperson and was President in 2010 and 2011. Since then she has held multiple Committee Chair positions including Directory, Handicaps, Rules and Vice President, among others. Prior to retirement Sherry was a paralegal for a major law firm in Minneapolis. Sherry has golfed all her adult life. She has a son residing in Prescott AZ and a daughter residing in Warsaw VA.
Cathy Lowman
Secretary
Cathy was born and raised in Idaho before moving, with her husband, to Eastern Oregon to raise their 3 sons. From there they went to Southern CA where Cathy was very involved in her golf club. Next stop was Utah, where she also was involved in her golf club, and then they moved back to Idaho. Cathy’s work career included being a licensed insurance agent as well as a mortgage loan officer. Cathy and Gary’s sons are married and have provided 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren for Cathy and Gary. SCW became their winter home in 2013 and in 2021 they made it their permanent home. She joined DVWGC in 2013 and is happy giving time back to the club.
Pam Taylor
Vice President
Pam was born in Muncie, Indiana and raised in Bellevue, Washington. She enjoyed being a flight attendant in her twenties and thirties, a stay at home/soccer Mom during her children’s school age years, and selling designer clothes at Nordstrom in her fifties. She has 3 children and 11 grandchildren. She and her husband, Jerry, moved to SCW in 2019 to be close to Pam’s Mother. She loves spending time with her family, going out to dinner with friends, playing cards, swimming, Arizona sunsets and golfing with the DVWGC.
Cheryl Sherwood
Treasurer
Cheryl was born and raised in Idaho. In 1980 she and Craig moved to Oregon where Cheryl worked for the State of Oregon for 31 years within the Employment Department and the Department of Justice. Cheryl has 2 sons and 4 grandchildren in Oregon. Cheryl played golf off and on in Oregon but has been playing more since retirement in 2016. Cheryl and Craig moved to SCW in 2018 and Cheryl joined the DVWGC. Besides being Treasurer, she previously worked on the Tournament and Ringers committees. Golfing, reading and playing cards are her hobbies.
